DHEA Plus Cream applied to the skin allows the DHEA to go through the body before being metabolised by the liver into other hormones.

DHEA oral capsules are absorbed and may be metabolised by the liver to other chemicals and hormones before going through the body. You will not get the full benefit of your DHEA capsule. This is called the first pass effect. DHEA Plus Cream decreases the liver first pass effect.

• DHEA is a hormone closely associated with aging, peaking at approximately age 25. Thereafter, circulating DHEA levels decrease by as much as 95% around the age of 85 years. This gradual decline in DHEA levels coincides with a decline of the immune system's ability to resist sickness and age related diseases.
  
• Various diseases such as cardiovascular disease, AIDS, autoimmune diseases, Alzheimer's dementia, thyroid disease and diabetes have been associated with low circulating DHEA levels.
