How a scientific test proved the value of Juice Plus in my body.

I was at a cross roads in my life in 1997. My father had prostate cancer and Alzheimer’s disease before he was 55 years old. My mother in-law had a two strokes and dementia before she was 75. I didn’t want early onset of these diseases to plague my wife Janay and I. I found medical journals on the internet and started doing research to find out how to prevent these devastating health problems. I didn't even have to go the the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Library.

I consistently found in the medical research journals that consuming high amounts of fruits and vegetables, lowering oxidative damage, improving diet and lifestyle and targeted supplements decreased the risk of cancers, Alzheimer’s and dementia. The evidence was so convincing that I sold my pharmacy and opened up Health Nut Rx – Natural Care Solution in 1998. My goal was to continue my research and to provide Natural Care assistance to others in the Oklahoma City Metro Area.

After a few years of taking high doses of multiple vitamins, vitamin C and vitamin E I found a test that could measure oxidative damage in my body. I was ecstatic! I could prove that I was helping prevent our family health tendencies and that others could benefit from my supplements and this test.

I ordered 10 of the Free Radical Oxidative Damage urine tests. I did the urine test on Janay, myself and my assistant Kris. I was shocked! We all had Severe High amounts of oxidative damage! I was confused and disenchanted. What was I going to do? What other changes could I make to prevent these terrible diseases?

Within the month Ellen Mercer came by, once again, and gave me information and research abstracts about Juice Plus. She was persistent! Trying to be nice, I took the information, thanked her for coming by, again, threw the information into my mail box and moved onto my next Natural Care Consultation. Later that afternoon, between appointments, I glanced through the Juice Plus research information and noticed a study that measured oxidative damage. I was excited! I can do the same kind of study with Juice Plus capsules!

I called Ellen and purchased one month’s supply of Juice Plus for all three of us. We all took the 2 red fruit Juice Plus capsules in the morning and 2 green vegetable Juice Plus capsules in the evening. In 30 days we repeated the Free Radical Oxidative Damage urine test.

All three of us had decreased our oxidative damage from Severe High, down two steps, to High. Janay and Kris continued the Juice Plus. Being a chemist and pharmacist I went another step. I stopped the capsules and repeated the Oxidative Damage Test after another 30 days. I was not surprised! My oxidative damage test was back up to Severe High. I was back on the Juice Plus and became a Distributor. I’ve been taking and recommending Juice Plus since.

The oxidative damage story continues. I wanted to know why we were still in the High range of oxidative damage. In 2008 I came across medical research showing high levels of Toxic Heavy Metals can cause oxidative metals. You guessed it. We were very high in several toxic metals including copper, lead and mercury. We are now doing an oral chelation program along with our Juice Plus.
