Natural
Osteoporosis Tests
Don't guess how to
improve your bone density
with natural treatments.
Do these natural osteoporosis tests before starting your
natural treatment for osteoporosis.
Blood
Tests
1. Osteocalcin
– measures growth of the
bones, too low: little bone growth, too high: too much
breakdown
2. Homocysteine
– chemical in the body that
if too high damages the blood vessels.
3. 25-hydroxyvitamin
D3 – helps absorb calcium
and magnesium. Also pulls calcium off the blood vessel walls
and improves circulation.
4. hsCRP
– inflammation can
breakdown the bones, damage blood vessels and increase
risk of heart attack and stroke.
5. Alkaline
Phosphatase – if elevated (even in normal range)
shows rapid bone turnover
6. TSH
– hyperthyroid increases
bone loss
7. Calcium
– if elevated (even in
normal range) shows too much calcium may be released from
the bones into the blood or calcium is not being placed
into the bones. May give insite into parathyroid
issues.
8. Protein and Albumin
– protein is necessary to make
collagen in the bone, nails, hair and skin.
Urine
Tests
1. Pyrilinks-D
(DpD) –
measures bone breakdown. Too high – too much breakdown. Too low
– not enough growth.
2. Urinalysis
(UA) -
a.
pH – acid: not enough
minerals. alkaline: too many minerals loss through
kidneys
b.
Specific Gravity –
mineral and water balance
3. Oxidative Free Radical
Damage –
High to Severe amounts of oxidative (free radical) damage is a
correctable risk factor.
Saliva
Tests
1. Saliva and Urine Detox
pH – acidity
of saliva and urine.
2. PostM – Saliva Hormone
Test for Estradiol,
Estrone, Estriol, Testosterone, DHEA and Progesterone. All bone
cells have receptors for each of these hormones.
Stomach Acid
Test
Metagest/Gastracid HCL
Challenge –
if your stomach is low in acid you will not absorb your
calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and protein
properly.
Circulation
Pulse Wave
Analysis: poor vascular circulation decreases
nutrients supplied to the bones.
Ankle Brachial Index
(ABI): poor
vascular circulation decreases nutrients supplied to the
bones.
