Vitamin K2 appears to offer significant benefit for
prevention of osteoporosis. clinical and human population
studies points to a decrease in spine and hip fracture
rates.
Positive studies support the use of vitamin K2 for the
prevention of bone loss in anorexia, patients on dialysis,
Parkinson's disease, liver cirrhosis, graft-versus-host disease
following bone marrow transplant, chronic steroid use in
children and post-stoke immobilization.
Vitamin K is a cofactor for normal
blood clotting, as well as the formation of Osteocalcin in
bones, which helps maintain normal bone density. An
accumulating body of scientific evidence also suggests Vitamin
K2 has antineoplastic activity.
A woman who is pregnant or nursing, or who might become
pregnant, should consult a health-care practitioner before
using this product.
SPECIAL NOTE: Warning:
Vitamin K2 may counteract the effects of anticoagulation
therapy, and therefore is not recommended for patients on
blood-thinning anti-coagulant
medications.
